For the larger Delta AC Servo motors, different connectors are used than for the smaller models (100-750 Watt). These motors are equipped with integrated military style connectors. We offer the encoder cable and power cable (UVW) and brake cables (coil 1-2) separately, in various lengths. These cables are assembled and tested on our test bench. We prefer to sell these tested cables, because making these cables is a delicate matter, which often leads to malfunctions. However, it is also possible to purchase the separate connectors and make your own cables. The cable shown here is a brake cable with a length of 10 meters. With the Delta B3 servo system, this is a separate connector on the servo motor, from frame size 100 mm. We advise never to connect the brake cables directly to the servo drivers. It is best to control them by means of an auxiliary relay. It is also best to really use a separate 24VDC power supply for the brake, which is not used for other applications. This is due to the possibility of EMC disturbances when switching the brake on/off. See the list of parts we advise, in the compatible products tab.
