The spindle servo motor have been designed to develop high power with limited overall dimensions. This type of spindle servo motor is suitable to be installed on heavy duty CNC cutting and grinding machines for the main spindle, but they are also common on CNC lathes. These AC motors are made to have a lot of torque available at low RPM. In the range 0-1500RPM the motor has an S1 torque that is available 100% of the time of 191 Nm, and It has a peak S3 torque for intermittent use of 236Nm. 

The motors are designed such that they have a constant power up to 6000 RPM. Which means they have a very wide powerband. The range from 6000 to 8000 RPM can also be used. But you need to consider that in this area the power is decreasing. At the max RPM of 8000RPM, there is only 47Nm available 100% of the time, and for short intervals 59Nm. Which is still a lot.

These motors are more complex than a standard AC motor, because they have an encoder. This allows much better control over speed(RPM) and torque(Nm). But it also means the wiring is a little bit more complicated. We recommend getting from us also the wiring and tuning. These motors need some more tuning and attention, to run properly.
