These units can be used to save a lot of space on the DIN-rail. When you have devices like heating elements or other 230VAC devices that need a Neutral + Line + Earth, these are very handy. Because instead of taking up 3 positions on the DIN-Rail, they take only 1 position. It's because of the 3 levels in this terminal block. Using bridges, it's very easy to bridge all the neutrals. The Earth is always already connected to the DIN Rail. For the Line connection, it's possible to bridge them all, which would work for low power devices. But it's possible to use bridges so that power can be distributed over several phases. Overall its a very clever space saving terminal block, that can come in handy, in many control boxes.
